Shareholders

Ahtna is owned by more than 2,000 shareholders, the majority of whom are of Ahtna Athabascan or Alaska Native descent. These include original shareholders, heirs, gift recipients, and Class L shareholders residing inside and outside Alaska. Ahtna shareholders who are Alaska Native are eligible to vote for the Board of Directors or on other advisory matters that come to the shareholders for a vote at the Annual Meeting.

Our responsibility to the larger well-being of our people and culture continues to lead us to provide many key services and programs aimed at preserving our culture, developing our resources, protecting our land, enhancing the lives of our people, and maintaining a cultural identity that has existed for thousands of years.
