Originally I am from Orlando, FL and currently live in Pensacola, FL.
How did you feel when you heard you had been named an Ahtna Employee of the Year?
I felt surprised and honored when I found out I was named an Ahtna Employee of the Year. I was surprised because I didn’t know that I had been nominated and honored because we have a great, dedicated team at AhtnaSTS and to even be nominated with the high performers we have is a huge honor.
What made you want to work for the Ahtna family of companies?
The AhtnaSTS presence in the Training and Simulation community in and around central Florida was growing and they were building a reputation as strong performers. AhtnaSTS was awarded a contract to study ways to reduce the Life Cycle Costs of training equipment and I wanted to be a part of that mission to increase the life of the training equipment while finding ways to reduce the cost of procuring and maintaining them.
What do you love most about your job and the work you do?
First and foremost it is the ability to support the training of our Warfighters to optimize their readiness so that they can complete their mission. New challenges and opportunities present themselves constantly which makes for a fast paced, ever-changing environment. Additionally, I work with a dynamic team of dedicated professionals that share a common goal to providing training support to the Warfighter and value to our customers.
