Ahtna, Inc.'s 40th Annual Meeting of Shareholders will be held on:
Saturday, June 8, 2013
Location: Glennallen High School on 1976 Aurora Drive, Glennallen, Alaska
Registration will open at 8 a.m. and close at 11 a.m. The meeting will officially start at 9 a.m. This year's annual meeting theme is "Celebrating 40 Years".
Changes to Annual Meeting:
- New location! Meeting will not be held at the Kluti-Kaah Memorial Hall as in years past; it will be held at the Glennallen High School, site of the very first annual meeting
- There will be no guest speaker and candidates for this year's open seats will not, as in previous meetings, make introductory speeches or field questions.
2013 Board of Directors Election:
At the annual meeting, shareholders will vote to fill four open seats on the Ahtna, Inc. board of directors. The seats are currently held by Albert "Palmer" Fleury, Roy S. Ewan, Christopher Gene, and Karen Linnell, whose terms expire at the annual meeting. Each elected director will have a three-year term.

2013 Proxy Deadline:
Ahtna, Inc. requests that shareholdersreturn their proxies or complete their online proxies so their votes can be counted. All proxies must be received by election tabulators Sramek & Hightower on or before Thursday, June 6, 2013, at 5 p.m. Alaska time.
For early bird prizes, shareholders must send in their completed proxies by Friday, May 31, 2013, at 5 p.m. Alaska time, in order to qualify. There are a total of 14 prizes this year: $1,000 (1 winner), $750 (1), $500 (1), $250 (1), and $200 (10 winners). Early bird winners will be announced at the annual meeting.
2012 Annual Report/2013 Proxy Mailings:
Important information regarding the annual meeting and the board election was mailed to shareholders on April 30, 2013. Shareholders who have not received their packets should contact the Shareholder Services Department immediately at:
Each packet includes a copy of the 2012 annual report; proxy card; proxy statement, which contains instructions on how to complete a paper proxy and online proxy, as well as a candidate matrix to help shareholders learn more about each of the board candidates; an instructional flyer for reading the financial statements within the annual report; a flyer detailing early bird prizes; and a letter containing one's shareholder ID and PIN for logging onto the online voting site.
Online Proxy Voting:
This year, Ahtna shareholders will have the option to vote their proxies online as an alternative to the paper proxies, which
can be mailed, faxed, or delivered in person. All shareholders need is access to the online voting site (www.ahtnavote.com) and their shareholder ID and PIN, which they'll receive as part of their packet. Instructions for completing your online proxy can be found inside the proxy statement, beginning on page 14, as well the presentation below:
